Indoor Skydiving

The sky diving suit was hard to get on, but after it was on it wasn’t a problem. After we found our suits and goggles, we had to work on sky diving form. It was hard to stay in the position for a long time. After we all went through 15 minutes of training, but after that it was time to skydive.

We all went to the waiting area. We got in a line and the first one was my best friend Alexander. He put his goggles on and jumps in. He flies around for a few minutes the he almost hit the wall of the wind chamber. He comes out with wind-blown hair and with a smile on his face. It was my turn.

I run through the door into the chamber, jump, and the wind catches me at first I just fly around then I try to do a flip I lean backwards and flip. After the flip I flew into the instructor. I get out of the chamber with my hair deformed. I had so much fun that day and I wanted and still do it again.

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is an action pact book. Things are happening all the time. I couldn’t put the book down unless I had to. The Hunger Games is about a girl named katniss is selected to be in a survival game where you try to kill everyone, or find truces and kill allies later. Katniss finds someone. This wasn’t just a truce it was love. The book is fast moving and very suspenseful. I loved it but there is violence throughout the book. I suggest reading it if you like survival/action stories.

The Drop

We jump into the boat and set the mesh bags to the side. We had the whole boat to ourselves. My cousins and I put the B.C onto the tank and connect the first stage to the tank. After I get all my gear ready to dive. The engine started and the boat speeded away from the shore.

We arrive at the dive site and the dive master briefs us on the dive. The certified family members were going in first. Splash! The dive master drops in last, and then our dive master briefed my cousins and me. It was going to be our first certification dive.

We put our fins on, slide the B.C/tank onto our backs, and get ready to drop in. We were going to be doing a back roll to get into the water. A back roll is were you sit on the side of the boat and fall in backwards. I sit on the edge and put my mask on. 3,2,1! I slide off the boat and splash. I hit the water, and at first it is cold but I adjusted. We go to the rope and go deeper and deeper. The dive began.

American Sniper

American sniper is a great book. Throughout the book the story transitions from a place of war to home. From the readers prospective the book switches from Chris (the sniper) to his wife. The book is about a man named Chris. Chris holds the record for most kills. He is conflicted every day thinking if he wants to be with his family or save his country. He fights through four tours, each time going back for a different adventure. This book was on of my favorite books. There is action, there is some love, and there is a lot of courage throughout the book. This was a great book and I suggest reading it (if you like action).

Sleding With a Rain Coat

We got out of the car and walked to the Isabel lake trailhead. This hike has always been one of my favorite hikes. It is up hill for a long lime but the views are amazing and the wildlife is interesting and cool. We reach the top of the tree line and in the middle of summer there is still snow. Sometimes the snow would cover the path. I thought of something that would be fun and somewhat dangerous.

I take my raincoat out of my backpack and start walking up the rocks next to the snow. I reach the top of the steep snow pile. It was a long stretch of snow and I was going to slide down it. I put my coat on the snow and sit on it. I dig my feet into the ground, tie the arms of the coat around my waste and prepare to sled down.

I pull my feet out of the ground and I start sliding. I use my feet to steer and my hand to keep my coat under me. My coat sends snow flying because it was cutting through the snow like a speed boat. I get close to the bottom where the snow ends and right before I go off the snow and into the rocks. I stop right away, but I only had a few scrapes. Even though I got a little scraped up in the rocks I still had fun sliding down the snow, and my coat was fine. The idea of sledding turned into a reality and it made my day.

The Runaway King

I am not half way through the book, but every word I read and every page I turn I cannot stop thinking about what is going to happen next. The runaway king has a lot to do with the first book of the series (The False Prince). An impersonator named Sage went through training to become the next in line for the throne. He is now the king after his parents died. Pirates killed the real prince but now they are after sage. Sage fights, escapes death, and does everything he can to protect the ones he loves. In my opinion this book is equally as amazing as the first. I love this book and I suggest reading it.

Wipeout

I step out of car on a hot summer day with my skateboard in hand. I buckle my helmet, put one foot on the skateboard and push the skateboard forward on the smooth surface. For about an hour I board around the park going in the bowls and sometimes catching air. I was doing a bit more to get ready to do what I had been eying all day. The thing I was eying was wave-like rollers that were not jumps. At the end of 10 rollers there was a large jump.

I board to the side of the park with the rollers and I get ready to drop in. I plant one foot on the board and lean forward. I drop in and go up down, up down, again and again till I reach the jump. I take a slight turn and go off the side of the jump because the large jump was bigger than I thought. I go back around and this time I was going to fly off the middle of the jump. I drop in one more time and right before I go up the ramp I hit a small rock and it stops me in my tracks. Instead of flying off the jump I flew off my skateboard. I hit the ground hard on my shoulder and I feel immediate pain.

I get up and wipe the tears of my face. I look at my shoulder after I got out, it already had a bruise that was throbbing. I get up, walk over to my friend and we both start laughing, hard. Even though the pain in my shoulder was still killing me I kept skateboarding with my friend. It was the ultimate wipeout.
