We had just canoed to a beach on the Chesapeake. Lunch was over, and someone told us we were going to flip the canoes over and rescue the boat and the people. Aden and I went out and started tipping back and fourth. Tipping, tipping, flipping! The water was very cold, and my body took a while to adjust. The boat was upside down, in the water and we were floating on top of the cold bay water. I went under the flipped boat with Aden and got the paddles out. The man running this drill got close to our boat, and showed us how to get the water out of the boat, and safe for the people in the water.
HE grabbed the tip of the boat, and puled it over his dry canoe. The water dripped out of the canoe, or whatever was still in it. He yells that he's going to flip the boat the correct way on his canoe. The boat made a loud sound when he flipped it back to normal. We pulled ourselves back into the canoe, and now it was our turn to rescue someone who needed Help

Bomb by Steve Shinkin
Bomb is an awesome non fiction book. It is suspenseful, and very
interesting. It used true facts on the race to build the atom bomb. The book is
about the long race to build the atomic bomb, and what all the powers did in
the very competitive race. People bomb each other to try to destroy certain
facilities. It is a painful and desperate game to see who could make the first
bomb, who could spy and get certain information, and who had the best ideas. This
book is very fast moving and there is lots of competition, deadly competition. This
is defiantly one of my favorite books, and I think anyone could read it.

Nick of Time
This book is a great book. It is one of my favorite time
traveling books. I couldn’t put this book down because of all that was
happening. Nick of time is about a boy named nick and his sister. Nick loves to
sail, and they go through many adventures sailing through time. Because so much happens I don’t want to
give anything away so I sill stop there. This book is full of action. It is
fast moving and very intense. This is a great book for me because I love action
and time travel. I highly suggest this book for all readers.

If I Tell You I live You I'll have to Kill You
My friend suggested this book to me after she couldn’t stop talking about it. I thought that it wasn’t my kind of book, I was wrong. This book is hilarious! It is not an action book, but I still liked it. This book is about a girl in a high school. It is not a typical high school, it is a school of spies. She has many experiences in her school, she makes new friends throughout the book, and has many adventure being a spy. I liked this book, even though it is more a girl book than what I normally read. This book is very funny, and I think it is a great book.

Hiroshima
Hiroshima is a great book. This book is very
realistic, and it represents everything that happened when the atomic bomb went
off. Hiroshima is about two girls on the island that were living normal
lives where they were. But the other point of view is what is happening in the
Enola Gay bomber, and the other U.S. planes involved in the attach. This book
is very dark, but it is what actually went over during World War II. The book
is intense and full of terror and some action, but also shows heroic actions,
survival, and pain. I liked this book, and it deserved every award it received.

The Giver
The Giver
The Giver is a great book. It is based in the
future and a community is trying to make a utopia. A boy starts seeing things that
other people cannot see. He receives a job that is different from other jobs in
the community. He has to hold memories both good and bad, and he has some rough
experiences throughout the book. He wants to save the community and release the
memories to the community. I thought this book was very cool. Some things were
confusing at some point but nothing that was too difficult. The book was very
interesting and I could not put it down. In conclusion I loved this book, and I
suggest it.
